Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that throughout the long history of nation-building and national defense, Vietnamese women have always played an important role and made immense contributions to building a more "decent and beautiful" country, "standing shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the five continents." Many glorious achievements of the "army of long-haired women" have been recognized and honored. Since the Party's leadership, generations of Vietnamese women have always upheld the qualities of descendants of dragons and fairies, of the Trung sisters and Trieu sisters, being gentle, loyal, overcoming all difficulties and hardships, and ready to sacrifice to build and protect the Fatherland. The General Secretary recalled that President Ho Chi Minh once said: "The beautiful land of Vietnam is woven and embroidered by our women, young and old, making it even more beautiful and radiant." He praised Vietnamese women with eight golden words: "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and capable."

The General Secretary emphasized that, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnam People's Army has continuously grown stronger, achieving many glorious victories, making worthy contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and firmly defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam. In these victories, the contributions of women in the Army are very important. From its founding to the present day, every step of growth, maturity, heroic fighting, and glorious victory of the heroic Vietnam People's Army has been marked by the worthy contributions of women in the Army.

The General Secretary was pleased to note that, during the 2021-2025 period, women's work and the women's movement in the military have made increasingly solid, comprehensive, and effective progress. He witnessed the courage in overcoming difficulties, the perseverance of female soldiers, and the heroic spirit of the Vietnamese nation spreading to all aspects of the work and lives of women in the military.

Regardless of their position, women in the military have made significant contributions to the fulfillment of the political tasks of each agency, unit, and the entire army. Each individual, in their different roles, demonstrates unwavering political resolve; solidarity and close ties; a high sense of responsibility in their professional work and in their work with the Women's Union; and the ability to overcome difficulties and rise to become exemplary individuals and groups leading the patriotic emulation movement.

Women in the military not only excel in their duties but also fulfill their roles as wives and mothers, maintaining family happiness and providing a strong support system for their loved ones to focus on their studies and work. Their compassionate hearts are spread through acts of kindness and solidarity, especially in times of hardship, natural disasters, and epidemics, and through emulation movements such as "accompanying soldiers," "mentoring mothers," and "providing water on the training ground." Many women readily venture into difficult and arduous situations, making sacrifices to help and protect the people, earning the admiration, respect, and trust of their compatriots and international friends. All these positive results affirm the courage, talent, intelligence, and immense desire to contribute of women in the military in the new era.
