March 13, RT Citing a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting at the Kremlin, Ukraine had begun a large-scale counter-offensive operation but failed in all directions and suffered catastrophic damage.

"There's also damage that we don't see, which is the result of long-range attacks with high-precision weapons.", Mr. Putin said, claiming that Ukraine's actual damage could be higher than he put it.
Regarding the loss of forces on both sides, Putin said Russian casualties were "10 times lower" than Ukrainian forces.
The Russian president also reiterated that the "fundamental goals" of Russia's military activity in Ukraine remain the same and the Kremlin has no plans to change them. At the same time, Putin affirmed that Moscow is "sincerely seeking" to reach an agreement with Kiev and resolve differences regarding the formerly southeastern regions of Ukraine, which were annexed to Ukraine. Russia late 2022.
Referring to cross-border attacks from Ukraine into southern regions, President Putin said that Russia could have been better defensive.
"Of course, this is not a good thing, but in principle one can assume how the enemy will act and be better prepared." he said, referring to recent attacks in Belgorod province.
According to the Kremlin boss, there is currently no reason for Russia to apply a special state or martial law. Putin also confirmed that Russia does not currently need to mobilize additional forces to participate in the operation in Ukraine.
