Previously, many residents expressed their outrage over the parking lot at An Hoa Market, located along Tran Viet Chau Street (Cai Khe Ward, Can Tho City), charging parking fees many times higher than the regulated rate. Specifically, residents complained about the fee of 10,000 VND per hour for motorbike parking, starting from 2 PM.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City emphasized that in cases where violations are detected, the relevant units are responsible for strictly handling them in accordance with current laws and regulations, and publicly disclosing the results so that the people can be informed, monitor, and supervise. The results must be reported to the City People's Committee before August 10, 2025.
At the same time, the Department of Finance is tasked with coordinating with the Department of Health to review and advise on adjusting parking service fees at public hospitals in a way that is appropriate, in accordance with the law, and to study the option of completely waiving fees if conditions permit.
