Details revealed about the number of outstanding property tax files in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online late today, September 26th, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, stated the above. According to Mr. Dung, after the tax filing process was completed, the number of new land tax applications submitted increased very rapidly.

Several hundred new applications are submitted each day. Today, September 26th alone, 500 new applications were submitted.

However, the tax authorities have expedited the processing as much as possible. As a result, only 9,150 files remain pending, including both new and old land tax files.

"As of today, September 26th, the tax authorities have processed 2,700 applications and will continue working throughout the weekend to resolve the remaining applications as quickly as possible," Mr. Dung affirmed.

The head of the tax office is responsible for processing land-related documents.

Previously, immediately after the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued document 5635 allowing the use of the current land price list to calculate taxes while awaiting the issuance of a new land price list, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department issued an urgent directive requiring the heads of tax branches to prioritize and focus resources on resolving land-related documents received from August 1st as soon as possible, working even on Saturdays and Sundays...

At the same time, tax branches must report daily progress to the land management department, which will then compile a report for the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department. Units and individuals who perform well will be promptly encouraged and rewarded.

Notably, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department requires the heads of tax branches in their respective areas to be responsible for organizing the processing of land-related documents, ensuring that no inconvenience, harassment, or corruption arises.
