The city wants to display fireworks at 8 locations on New Year's Eve 2024, increasing two positions compared to last year.
According to the direction of City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to review regulations and funding sources to increase fireworks displays during Tet this year. The city displays high-altitude fireworks at two points including the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel and one additional point in Cu Chi district and 5-6 low-range shooting points.
Mr. Vo Trong Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said the unit has just received the document from the City People's Committee and is reviewing the shooting points to report to the city before January 8.
