Launch Ceremony of the Summer Campaign
This is a new model being implemented to promote the pioneering role of young people in carrying out the Party and State's policies on science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation. Speaking at the launch ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Dang Minh Thong, noted that the "Digital Summer" team closely follows the spirit of Resolution No. 09 of the Central Committee and the city's development orientation. According to the City Party Committee leader, the role of young people today has expanded beyond the past. Besides building bridges or houses as in the past, young people need to be pioneers in supporting people to access technology, improve their digital skills, and adapt to the digital administrative environment, digital economy , and digital society.

The entire city has established 478 volunteer teams.
The City Party Committee leaders also expect each volunteer to uphold a sense of responsibility and dedication to serving the people, contributing to bringing digital transformation policies into practical life. After a period of preparation, the entire city has established 479 "Digital Summer" youth volunteer teams with 8,165 members, young people, and students participating, carrying out activities in all 168 wards, communes, and special zones.
According to the plan, the teams will focus on implementing seven key tasks, including: popularizing basic digital skills; supporting citizens in using online public services; assisting Party members in carrying out administrative procedures in the digital environment; raising awareness about digital transformation; supporting businesses in applying technology; guiding the use of artificial intelligence (AI); and participating in document editing, digitization, and data cleaning.

All volunteers receive training before starting their duties.
To prepare for the campaign, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, along with related units, organized intensive training courses for over 2,000 youth union members and young people on essential digital applications and skills to support digital transformation at the grassroots level. Immediately after the launch ceremony, teams simultaneously deployed activities in many localities, assisting people in installing and using digital platforms, participating in the Digital Touchpoint 2026 event, training in AI skills, and popularizing digital signatures.
