In the digital age, people can proactively protect their own safety and that of their community through the technological tools provided by the State. In addition to integrating important documents and helping to complete administrative procedures, the VNeID electronic identification application also has the ability to look up the list of wanted subjects.

This is a mobile application licensed by the Ministry of Public Security , available on iOS and Android operating systems. People need to download the latest version and register for level 2 electronic identification to look up wanted subjects.

The feature was built and operated by the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (Ministry of Public Security). Through it, users can access a public list of more than 8,000 wanted subjects nationwide, along with detailed data such as full name, place of residence, identifying characteristics and criminal behavior.

People can increase their vigilance in their daily lives, as well as support the coordination with the authorities when detecting suspicious people, in order to maintain order and social security. The following article will guide you on how to look up details and accurately with a few simple steps.

How to look up wanted information on the VNeID application

Step 1: Log in to the app. On the home screen, select More Services , then select Wanted Info.

Wanted information is located in the Other Services section.

Step 2: The interface will display basic information of each subject, regularly updated from the Department of Administrative Police on Social Order. Users can click on the Details section appearing in the right corner of each subject's profile frame to view full information, including:

- Full name, other names (if any).

- Hometown, place of residence before escaping.

- Identification features (description of appearance, special signs).

- Criminal behavior and charges.

- The unit issuing the wanted notice and the date of issue.

The system displays a list of information on more than 8,000 objects.

Step 3: Perform search and filter adjustment

If you need to look up specific information, you can enter the name of the wanted person in the box at the top of the page. Or to find out which wanted people are in your area or anywhere else, fill in the box of the wanted person's place of residence and press the Search button.

To shorten the search list, users can also filter the wanted list by level, year of birth, and personal identification number.

Adjust filters to shorten your search list.

The crime levels include “Ordinary”, “Dangerous” and “Special”, depending on the nature of the crime.

To do this, on the wanted list interface, click on the filter icon, select the type you want to view (for example "Special" or "Dangerous"), adjust the year of birth range and then click "Search" for the system to display the corresponding results.

Step 4: If you encounter a suspicious person, you can click “Report immediately” at the bottom of the profile. At this time, the system will lead to the “Report suggestion” section related to security and order, with the following steps.

Feature reflects wanted objects.

- Select anonymous mode if you want to report without revealing your identity.

- Select the type of behavior and enter the specific address where it was detected.

- Can attach pictures of the object or location (if available).

- Click “Send request” to have the information immediately sent to the commune-level police in charge of that area.

After receiving the information, the police will take necessary measures to verify and organize the arrest. People should absolutely not approach or arrest the wanted person on their own to ensure safety.
