Phan Thiet Highway Rest Stop

Two rest stops on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway are being urgently constructed with essential facilities to serve people during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday.

According to observations by reporters from Giao Thong Newspaper on January 7th, the construction details of the two rest stops on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway have become apparent.

According to the plan, two parallel rest stops are located at Km 47+500, bordering the two provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Thuan , and are planned in multiple zones.

After more than two months of construction, the site leveling, parking lot, and restroom area have been completed in their rough form. The contractor is now racing against time to install the superstructure of the bays according to the design.

On the construction site, dozens of road rollers and excavators are working continuously, accelerating progress to ensure the road is ready for operation and to serve people's travel during the Lunar New Year 2025.

At the rest stop on the right side of the route (towards Phan Thiet - Dong Nai ), the contractor is accelerating the construction of steel structures in the rest stop area, as well as the electrical, water, and lighting systems.

Workers are busily constructing and installing the toilet facilities on steel scaffolding.

Dump trucks and road rollers are operating on the construction site in the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year).

According to the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway Management Board, the land on the Binh Thuan province side has been handed over. For the remaining area located in Xuan Loc district (Dong Nai province), the Board is working closely with the local authorities to expedite the handover.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Hop, Deputy Director of the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway Management Board (under Thang Long Project Management Board), said that the contractor is currently constructing parking lots, restrooms, and other facilities in the assigned areas.

According to the plan, the rest stop will have its parking area and restrooms temporarily put into operation before January 20th, to serve people traveling during the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025.

The Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, 99km long, passing through the provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Thuan, was put into operation at the end of April 2023. The winning bidder for the construction of the two rest stops was the joint venture FUTABUSLINES - Thanh Hiep Phat (a joint venture of Phuong Trang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company FUTABUSLINES and Thanh Hiep Phat Limited Company).
