Within the framework of the Congress, HBSF presented a report summarizing the Federation's activities during the 2021-2025 term and outlining development directions for the new term. The Congress also elected a new Executive Committee consisting of 1 President, 5 Vice Presidents, and 9 Executive Committee members. Mr. Nguyen Van Tri continued to serve as President of the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards and Snooker Federation, along with Vice Presidents: Ly Kim Luan, Thai Chieu Dien, Nguyen Viet Hoa, Luong Khac Tam, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy.
President Nguyen Van Tri shared: “During the past term, the Federation successfully organized many tournaments. Our goal for the next term is to bring more international tournaments, especially in 9-ball pool, 10-ball pool, and carom.” He also emphasized that after the Congress, the Federation will organize the World Cup in Ho Chi Minh City, a tournament that has been held many times before.
One of the highlights of this Congress is the inclusion of Tran Quyet Chien, a four-time World Cup 3-Cushion Carom billiards champion, on the Executive Committee. Tran Quyet Chien stated that he will contribute his efforts to developing the billiards movement in Ho Chi Minh City and nationwide, while also addressing the financial challenges of tournaments and providing players with better opportunities to improve their skills.
The 2nd Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards and Snooker Federation promises to be a solid foundation for the strong development of this sport in the city and nationwide in the coming term.
