Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Ngoc, Deputy Director of Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio and Television, presents the first prize to the contestant.

The competition received an enthusiastic response from students at 33 high schools in the province, with nearly 600 entries.

The Organizing Committee and the Judging Panel have selected 55 high-quality works to award prizes.

Delegates, teachers, and a large number of students attended the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the "Youth and Reading Culture" competition.

With the theme of reflecting on a book about teachers, each entry was meticulously crafted by the students, from presentation to content, expressing personal emotions and stories associated with each work, thereby affirming the value of the book.

This is also an opportunity for students to express their deep understanding of the tradition of "respecting teachers and valuing education," and their gratitude to their teachers, who sow the seeds of knowledge.

Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Ngoc, Deputy Director of Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio and Television, and Head of the Judging Panel, assessed that the submitted works were meticulously prepared and thoughtfully invested in.

Commenting on the quality of the entries, Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Ngoc, Deputy Director of Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio & Television, and Head of the Judging Panel, said: “The selected entries ensured quality in both form and content, making an impression and contributing to spreading reading culture from each student to their family, school, and community. Some entries showed great care in their design and meticulous attention to detail in every word. All the students deserve to be commended for their love of books, their reading, and for finding peace through each page.”

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 55 prizes. Tran Nguyen Anh Thi, a student in class 11A of Ly Van Lam Secondary and High School (Ly Van Lam Ward), excellently won first prize. In addition, there were 4 second prizes, 10 third prizes, and 40 consolation prizes.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Library and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, emphasized the role of reading culture in the community.

Speaking at the closing ceremony and awards presentation, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Library and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, affirmed: "The success of the 'Youth and Reading Culture' competition shows that today's young generation is still passionate about reading and not indifferent to reading culture. Organizing the competition not only creates a beneficial playground for students but also gradually forms a reading movement in schools, becoming a meaningful and practical activity. From there, the students themselves will be the ones to inspire and spread reading culture in the community."

Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of the Provincial Library, presented awards to the four contestants who won second prize.

The success of the competition also serves as a basis for the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue coordinating with the Department of Education and Training in the future to promote information and communication, further raising awareness among families, schools, communities, and society as a whole about the importance of developing and spreading a reading culture; and at the same time, to encourage all levels of the population, especially students, officials, and civil servants, to maintain the habit of reading books.
