To commemorate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22nd (1944 - 2023) and the 34th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Association on December 6th (1989 - 2023), this morning, December 16th, the "Comradeship" Scholarship Fund Council, comprising the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, the Provincial Veterans Association, the Provincial Military Command, and the Provincial Border Guard Command, held the 15th "Comradeship" Scholarship Award Ceremony.

At the ceremony, the organizing committee awarded 79 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to 75 high school students and 4 university students. The scholarship recipients are all children of policy beneficiaries, members of the Veterans Association, and armed forces officers from disadvantaged backgrounds who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies and training.
Over 15 scholarship awarding ceremonies under the "Helping Hands" program, the organizing committee has awarded 1,135 scholarships totaling nearly 1.14 billion VND.

On this occasion, the Scholarship Fund of the Vietnam Veterans Association, in coordination with veteran Le Van Kiem and his family, awarded 10 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to 10 students who are children of members of the Vietnam Veterans Association in Quang Tri province.
