Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Quoc An, an officer of the Institute of Military Logistics Research, General Department of Logistics and Technology, will replace Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan as Logistics Staff Officer, expected to start on July 27.

Major Ngo Quoc Cuong, an officer of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, will replace Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Doanh as Operations Staff Officer, expected to start on August 24.

Captain Pham Phu Hai, an officer of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, will replace Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Lien as a staff officer coordinating military-civilian affairs, expected to begin on August 17.

Authorized by the President and the Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan presented the decision to 3 officers.

Major General Pham Manh Thang, Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department ( Ministry of National Defense ), said that preparations for the officers' departure have been carried out seriously and comprehensively.

The Vietnam Peacekeeping Department closely coordinates with functional units inside and outside the Ministry of National Defense to ensure the rear and policies, contributing to helping officers feel secure in their work.

The officers were all ready, steadfast in their thoughts, highly determined, demonstrating a sense of responsibility and expressing their honor to represent the Vietnam People's Army in participating in the international mission.

The officers have all completed training courses as required by the United Nations, including: Pre-deployment training course, United Nations Staff officer course, United Nations Logistics officer course, and United Nations Military Observer course.

In particular, Major Ngo Quoc Cuong and Captain Pham Phu Hai each completed their term at the United Nations peacekeeping mission, thereby accumulating a lot of practical experience and having many advantages in the process of getting used to the work after deployment.

Assigning tasks to three officers, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, requested the officers to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the viewpoints and foreign policies of the Party, State and Army; strictly comply with military discipline, regulations of the United Nations, laws of the host country, instructions of competent agencies and the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department.

Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan noted that when operating in a multinational environment, officers need to ensure absolute safety of people and equipment.

With their training level and skills, after deployment, the three officers must quickly grasp the local situation, promote determination and spirit to overcome difficulties, and apply trained operating methods to successfully complete the task.

Thereby, demonstrating the mettle and will of Uncle Ho's soldiers, continuing to contribute to spreading the good image of the country and people of Vietnam, the Vietnamese Army in the international arena, while contributing to protecting the Fatherland early and from afar by peaceful means.

On this occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan also requested the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department to continue to strengthen personnel selection and prepare replacement forces to ensure proper and strict procedures to meet mission requirements.
