Over 10,800 units of whole blood were received through voluntary blood donation drives.

In 2024, Quang Tri province organized 32 voluntary blood donation drives with a total of over 11,000 registered donors. A total of 10,854 whole blood units were collected, reaching 103% of the target, equivalent to 1.66% of the province's population participating in blood donation. 40 platelet units were also collected.

Notably, many individuals have voluntarily donated blood repeatedly; 2,765 people donated 1.4 units of blood each, equivalent to 350ml, in each donation.

Over the past period, the voluntary blood donation campaign has continued to receive attention from Party committees and authorities at all levels; the efforts of the blood donation campaign steering committees at all levels and the active support of all sectors of the population have resulted in many positive achievements, fulfilling the assigned targets.

A highlight in the recent campaign to promote voluntary blood donation is that the blood donation steering committees at all levels have strengthened and promoted the application of information technology, using social media such as Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, etc., to encourage people to participate in platelet donation and emergency blood donation at hospitals. They also inform all segments of the population about the time and location of mobile blood donation drives so that people are aware and actively and voluntarily participate in donating blood to save lives.
