Paying tribute to the immense contributions of Lieutenant General Dong Sy Nguyen to the country.

Continuing their working visit to Quang Binh , on the afternoon of February 23rd, the delegation led by Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, offered incense and flowers to commemorate Lieutenant General Dong Sy Nguyen in Quang Trung commune, Ba Don town, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth (March 1st, 1923 - March 1st, 2023).

General Tran Quang Phuong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly , and the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers in remembrance of Lieutenant General Dong Sy Nguyen, an outstanding son of Quang Binh.

In a solemn atmosphere, the members of the delegation bowed in gratitude for the immense contributions of Lieutenant General Dong Sy Nguyen to the country, vowing to continue following the indomitable and resilient example of Lieutenant General Dong Sy Nguyen.

Next, the delegation visited and met with the armed forces of Quang Binh province.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong highly appreciated the efforts and important results achieved by the armed forces of Quang Binh province in the past period. He also discussed the key tasks of the armed forces and some contents of related laws that are being drafted, commented on, amended and perfected.

National Assembly Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong suggested that the armed forces of Quang Binh province continue to uphold their heroic traditions and sense of responsibility, focusing on researching, proposing, and advising the province on summarizing the implementation of military, national defense, and security policies and tasks; actively participate in building and perfecting laws in a comprehensive, appropriate, and feasible manner; strengthen unity, and constantly strive to excellently fulfill all assigned tasks, creating a stable environment for development, worthy of the heroic traditions of the armed forces and the trust of the Party and the people.

On behalf of the leadership of the Quang Binh Provincial Military Command, Colonel Doan Sinh Hoa, the Commander, deeply appreciated the directives of Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly. He affirmed that the Quang Binh Provincial Armed Forces will always firmly grasp the guiding principles, continue to train and strive, and be determined to excellently fulfill all assigned tasks, including the role and responsibility of advising on policies, laws related to the armed forces, contributing together with the Party Committee and the people to building a more developed Quang Binh./.
