Implementing documents of the Central Government and the Provincial People's Committee on the application of information technology and digital transformation, in recent times, the Department of Education and Training has directed its affiliated units to increase investment in facilities and teaching equipment to apply information technology and carry out digital transformation in educational institutions. Some educational institutions maintain online teaching methods for some subjects and educational activities, apply digital technology to assign homework and check students' preparation before coming to class; develop a plan for direct teaching combined with online when ensuring requirements on facilities, equipment, transmission lines and having teaching assistants, in charge of classes at the bridge points, especially for subjects lacking teachers such as English and Information Technology.
Up to now, most teachers have applied information technology appropriately and effectively when organizing teaching and educational activities, thereby contributing to making lessons more diverse, vivid, and improving the quality of teaching hours. In particular, in recent times, the Department of Education and Training of Bac Kan has paid attention to implementing Digital Student Records, contributing to modernizing management work and strongly promoting digital transformation in the entire education sector.
Digital transcripts are an application solution within the VNPT vnEdu 4.0 Smart Education Ecosystem to meet the need for comprehensive digitalization of transcripts through digital signatures and seals. Digital transcripts are centrally and consistently managed, so it is easy to provide complete transcript files of previous years of students when needed. Student information data and learning outcomes are accurately and completely exported from the vnEdu school management system, helping schools easily monitor the transfer of transcripts through the overview report screen. The Digital Transcript solution helps teachers save time and reduce bookkeeping pressure. For schools, Digital Transcripts bring many benefits in management, saving printing costs, managing books, convenient storage and increasing professionalism. For parents, Digital Transcripts help monitor and control the learning process better, making the enrollment process more effective by simplifying the registration process.
Under the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training, in the 2023-2024 school year, the Department of Education and Training has piloted the Digital Primary School Report Card at 100% of primary education institutions. Accordingly, 100% of primary education institutions have sent Digital Primary School Report Card data to the Ministry of Education and Training, the rate of digital primary school reports circulating on the database of the Ministry of Education and Training reached 97.30%.
The Department of Education and Training said that, implementing Directive No. 04/CT-TTg dated February 11, 2024 of the Prime Minister on continuing to promote the implementation of the Project on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, the Ministry of Education and Training has directed and guided localities to deploy Digital Student Report Cards nationwide for primary school level, and pilot implementation for lower secondary school, high school and continuing education levels.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training identified the implementation of Digital Transcripts as one of the key tasks of the Industry in the 2024-2025 school year.
To implement this task, the Department of Education and Training will review and evaluate the current status of information technology infrastructure at general schools, continuing education centers, vocational education - continuing education centers; on that basis, advise on investment plans, upgrade equipment, internet connection, education management software to meet the requirements of digital transformation and application of Digital Student Records, in which priority is given to investing in solutions and software to manage Digital Student Records to ensure security, safety and the ability to integrate and connect with other education management systems.
Along with that, training and fostering on the exploitation and effective use of school management software, software on Digital Student Records for managers and teachers; building a core team of cadres and teachers on Digital Student Records to support and guide colleagues in the process of implementing digital transformation.
Organize the implementation of equipping managers and teachers with digital signature certificates, and at the same time pilot the implementation of administrative procedures related to Digital Transcripts; promote the digitization and simplification of administrative procedures related to Digital Transcripts; issue regulations and instructions according to authority on the use of Digital Transcripts in administrative procedures related to students such as graduation, school transfer, and early enrollment; ensure synchronization and connectivity between Digital Transcripts and other information systems, creating convenience for students, parents and educational institutions.
The Department of Education and Training will also strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of digital transformation and the application of Digital Student Records at general schools, continuing education centers, and vocational education and continuing education centers to promptly detect and handle arising issues; periodically evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of digital transformation and the application of Digital Student Records, on that basis, draw experience and implement better in the following years./.
