Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Vietnam Airlines have partnered to provide in-flight internet service (IFC).
The Internet Communication Center (IFC) service will be deployed to the Airbus A350 fleet. Initially, the IFC service will be installed on 10 Airbus A350 aircraft – the same aircraft currently operating long-haul international routes to the US, Europe, and some domestic routes for Vietnam Airlines. The service will be launched in July 2025, enhancing the passenger experience for Vietnam Airlines. It is expected that from 2026, Vietnam Airlines will expand this service to its entire fleet. Internet speeds on Vietnam Airlines flights achieve a service availability rate of 99%, effectively meeting passengers' needs for work, entertainment, and continuous connectivity throughout their journey. VNPT is also collaborating with the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to digitize the operations of Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport. VinaPhone 5G mobile coverage ensures stable and seamless connectivity throughout the terminal. The In-Body Signal Booster (IBS) system ensures enhanced and optimized communication signal quality even in challenging areas like basements and crowded spaces.
