Deploying internet on planes

Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Vietnam Airlines have just cooperated to provide in-flight internet service - IFC (In-Flight Connectivity).

The IFC service will be deployed for the Airbus A350 fleet. In the first phase, the IFC service will be installed on 10 Airbus A350 aircraft - the aircraft line currently operating long-haul international routes to the US, Europe and some domestic routes of Vietnam Airlines. The service will be deployed from July 2025, enhancing the experience for Vietnam Airlines passengers. It is expected that from 2026, Vietnam Airlines will expand this service to the entire fleet. The internet speed on Vietnam Airlines flights has a service availability of 99%, meeting the needs of work, entertainment and continuous connection of passengers throughout the flight. VNPT also cooperates with Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) to digitize the operation of Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport. VinaPhone 5G mobile waves covering here ensure stable and smooth connection in all areas of the terminal. The Intercellular Signal Booster System (IBS) ensures enhanced and optimized communication signal quality even in special areas such as basements and crowded places.
