(CLO) On November 30th, the Ha Tinh Union of Literature and Arts held the opening ceremony of the art photography exhibition "Heroic Army - Exemplary Veterans" by author Le Anh Thi.


The art photography exhibition themed "Heroic Army - Exemplary Veterans" by author Le Anh Thi includes 50 photographs with diverse content, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the Veterans Association, and looking forward to the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism.

Leaders of the Propaganda Department of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee and representatives from various departments, agencies, and authors cut the ribbon to inaugurate the exhibition.

Among the 50 works on display at this exhibition, nearly 20 depict naval soldiers on duty protecting the country's seas and airspace in the Truong Sa archipelago, captured by the author during a trip to Truong Sa in 2018.

Photographer Dinh Thong - Head of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists' branch in Ha Tinh - presented the exhibition sponsorship decision from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to author Le Anh Thi.

Among them are many award-winning works that have been exhibited at regional art photography festivals in North Central Vietnam and photography competitions organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

In addition, the exhibition also displays some images of the land and people of Ha Tinh in the process of renovation and development of the homeland and the country.

Author Le Anh Thi shared her impressions at the exhibition's opening ceremony.

The exhibition brings together outstanding works depicting the portraits, images, and activities of the armed forces and veterans of Ha Tinh, who continue to uphold the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," as well as some images of the land and people of Ha Tinh in the process of renewal of their homeland and country.

Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Ha Tinh Journalists Association presented flowers to congratulate journalist Le Anh Thi.

Journalist Nguyen Khac Hien presented the article "Journalist Le Anh Thi wholeheartedly dedicated to his comrades," published in the NB&CL newspaper, to journalist Le Anh Thi at the exhibition.

Right from the opening ceremony, the exhibition attracted hundreds of visitors. Notably, the exhibition presented many meaningful gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of fallen soldiers, and veterans in difficult circumstances.

The Head of the BMT Office of the Newspaper NB&CL and the Business & Farm Magazine presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, "Little Guerrilla" Kim Lai, and war veterans in difficult circumstances.

The exhibition will take place from November 30th to December 1st, 2024, at the headquarters of the Ha Tinh Union of Literature and Arts, 34B Nguyen Cong Tru Street, Ha Tinh City.

The author and delegates visited the exhibition.

This activity is aimed at commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (1944-2024), the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Veterans Association (1989-2024); and looking forward to the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (1925-2025).

Journalist and photographer Le Anh Thi (born 1957, pen name Minh Thi), hails from Thach Quy ward, Ha Tinh city. During the war against the US, he served as a special forces soldier, fighting to protect the country's borders in the Southwest battlefield and carrying out noble international duties in Cambodia. He is currently a member of the Ha Tinh Union of Literature and Arts, specializing in photography, and serves as a resident correspondent for the Vietnam Veterans Newspaper in Ha Tinh.
