I don't remember how many times I've been to Vung Vieng fishing village, I only know that each visit is a different feeling. I still remember, in 2008, I went with a delegation from Quang Ninh province to Vung Vieng fishing village to call for, propagate and guide people to classify, collect and treat plastic waste on the spot, in the bay... The people were very supportive and then they implemented it very methodically and scientifically . With a complex of steep limestone mountains, overlapping and divided into bays, clear blue water, gentle waves and preserved raft houses, community houses of fishermen, creating a unique, poetic, and distinct beauty that only Vung Vieng fishing village has.

This floating village is the place where many households live and earn a living. They both exploit and raise aquatic products and organize domestic and international tourist groups to visit the fishing village. As one of the four fishing villages located in the heart of the world natural heritage Ha Long Bay, compared to the fishing villages of Ba Hang, Cua Van, and Cap La, Vung Vieng fishing village has fewer tourists , so the space is extremely airy and peaceful.

Although life is still difficult, the floating houses of fishermen in Vung Vieng fishing village are relatively spacious and clean. In recent years, Quang Ninh province has paid attention to and many tourists have known about it, so the people's lives have improved a lot. They have more food and savings, send their children to school on the mainland, buy necessary equipment for life... Vung Vieng also built its own community house for people to gather together, and it is also an area for buying and selling handicrafts and a resting place for tourists.

In particular, the people here are very hospitable and responsible for protecting the environment. They also regularly remind tourists to throw trash at collection points and trash sorting bins, then bring it ashore for disposal according to regulations.
