Specifically, Mr. Chae Sang Hyeop was the main referee and Mr. Choi Cheol Jun (VAR referee) officiated the The Cong Viettel vs Ninh Binh match, which took place at 7:15 PM on May 3rd.
This is the second time this season that a team of South Korean referees has been invited by VPF to officiate in the V-League, following the Ninh Binh vs. CAHN match in round 16.

Referee Chae Sang Hyeop (born in 1989) is a seasoned and familiar face in Vietnamese football. At the international level, he recently officiated the Vietnam vs. Malaysia match in the Asian Cup qualifiers at the end of March, and also refereed the CAHN victory over Tampines Rovers in the 2024/25 Southeast Asian Club Championship.
In the domestic league, he previously served as a VAR referee in the CAHN vs Hanoi FC match in Round 24 of the V-League 2024/25. For referee Choi Cheol Jun, this was his first match officiating in the V-League. Previously, he had been recommended by the Korean Football Association for the CAHN vs Ninh Binh match in Round 16, but the plans were later adjusted.
On the league table, The Cong Viettel is in second place with 42 points, 9 points behind CAHN, while Ninh Binh is in third place with 37 points. Both teams theoretically still have a chance to win the championship, but it's very difficult.
