After 18 rounds, Bayern have amassed 50 points, a record in Bundesliga history for this stage. Not only have they created an 11-point gap over second-placed Borussia Dortmund, but the "Bavarian giants" are also aiming to break several decades-old records.
Earlier this week, Bayern secured a 2-0 victory against Union SG in the Champions League. Despite playing with ten men from the 63rd minute after Kim Min-jae received a red card, the German side still managed to secure the win and keep a clean sheet, something they failed to do in their last three Bundesliga matches.
That result further reinforced fans' confidence in the stability Kompany is building, as Bayern have won 9 and drawn 1 of their last 10 matches in all competitions.
At Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich displays almost absolute dominance. This season, they have played 13 home games and won 12 of them, turning the venue into a true "fortress".
Conversely, Augsburg travel to Munich with many concerns. Coach Manuel Baum's team currently sits 15th in the league table with only 16 points, just 3 points above the relegation play-off zone.
Augsburg's form is also alarming, with no wins in their last five matches, failing to score in three, and only one draw and five losses in their last six away games. Notably, they have lost all seven of their most recent encounters with Bayern, despite having caused them considerable trouble in a narrow 2-3 defeat in August 2025.
With a clear difference in class, form, and squad depth, Bayern are expected to continue their comfortable run in the Bundesliga, while Augsburg will likely have to prepare for a formidable challenge at the Allianz Arena.
