In addition, Li Shangfu affirmed that China is willing to step up security work within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and strengthen defense cooperation with Iran and Belarus.
Iran became a full member of the SCO in July, while Belarus signed and ratified a memorandum of understanding to accelerate its accession process.
