On the evening of October 3, Gia Dinh Regiment coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, University of Natural Sciences and An Hoi Tay Ward Youth Union to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival program with the theme "Moonlight of Peace " for children at SOS Children's Village Go Vap.
Attending the program were Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tran Tan Nghia - Deputy Political Commissar of Gia Dinh Regiment; Mr. Pham Huu Loc - officer of the City Youth Union's children's group; Ms. Bui Thi Nhu Hoa - Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Hoi Tay Ward and Mr. Hoang Long - Director of SOS Children's Village Go Vap.

The program is organized to share love, bring joy and a warm atmosphere to orphaned children living at SOS Children's Village Go Vap.

At the program, officers and soldiers of Gia Dinh Regiment brought many meaningful performances such as lion dance, art performances, exchanges with children, giving lanterns and Mid-Autumn gifts to 154 children with a total value of nearly 10 million VND.
Not only is it an activity to care for and brighten the smiles of children, the program also demonstrates the spirit of mutual love and solidarity between the army and the people. This is also an opportunity to educate the political and ideological interests of officers and soldiers, helping them to be more proud and continue the tradition of humanity and the love between the army and the people that is like flesh and blood in all periods.
