DTO - On the morning of September 20, Dong Thap Community College (CĐCĐ) held the opening ceremony of the 2023 - 2024 school year.
Representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Departmentof Education and Training of districts and cities; universities, colleges, intermediate schools in and outside the province; sponsoring units, and more than 300 students attended.
Performing arts at the opening ceremony
Dong Thap Community College has a formal training scale of more than 2,860 students with 13 majors at college level and 16 majors at intermediate level. The school focuses on flexible and scientific training management combined with enhanced innovation of content and teaching methods; strengthening training links with universities and enterprises in and outside the province. Thereby, training quality is constantly improved, ensuring output standards, meeting social needs, the rate of students graduating with jobs reaches 95%.
In the 2023-2024 school year, the school has 1,265 new students admitted to college-level training programs (625 students) and intermediate-level training programs (640 students). Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Pham Quang Huy - Principal of Dong Thap College of Community Education emphasized that in the new school year, the collective of managers, civil servants, and lecturers of Dong Thap College of Community Education will focus on promoting digital transformation in activities; continue to perfect the structure of majors and training programs, ensure facilities, and improve the quality of theoretical and practical teaching. At the same time, expand the scale, strengthen training links to meet domestic and international employment needs...
Students receive scholarships "For community development"
At the ceremony, authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, Dong Thap Community College organized the awarding of the title of Excellent Labor Collective to 2 collectives and the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter to 2 individuals; awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 2 collectives and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements of the school.
On this occasion, the school's Board of Directors awarded 66 scholarships "For community development" to 30 students (2 million VND/scholarship); Nguyen Sinh Sac Scholarship Fund awarded regular and irregular scholarships to 79 students (total cost of 339 million VND).
