Dong A University is authorized to enroll and train students in the undergraduate medical program.

DNVN - On August 21st, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 2198/QD-BGDĐT allowing Dong A University to enroll and train students in the undergraduate Medical program.

From the 2024-2025 academic year, along with the Rehabilitation Engineering major, the Medical major – code 7720101 – will officially join the Health Sciences group at Dong A University, alongside existing leading majors such as Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, and Nutrition.

Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, Dong A University will officially enroll and train students in the undergraduate Medical program.

According to People's Physician, Associate Professor, Senior Doctor Nguyen Ngoc Minh – Vice Rector and Head of the Health Sciences Block at Dong A University, the medical doctor training program at Dong A University has a 6-year structure, is meticulously researched and developed, and incorporates advancements in medicine worldwide .

The program is highly applicable, equipping graduates with strong professional expertise and advanced clinical skills, enabling them to integrate into the global medical community and work in multinational environments.

The program is also compared with national and international standard programs, aiming for the articulation of knowledge after graduating from university (level 7 medical doctor) to follow-up training for professional certification, postgraduate training in two directions: practical (specialty level 1, specialty level 2), residency and academic (doctoral research).

Along with a team of highly qualified medical lecturers, the Medical Faculty of Dong A University invests in and operates a system of nearly 20 standardized practice laboratories, a modern preclinical simulation center, and a network of clinical practice facilities at units with advanced specialized techniques.

Dong A University is also promoting comprehensive cooperation with Kameda Social Healthcare Group (Japan) to implement a project for an international clinic with Japanese standards in Da Nang in the near future.

Candidates who have graduated from high school and meet the minimum quality standards for admission as stipulated by the university and the Ministry of Education and Training can choose one or more methods to register for admission to the Medical program at Dong A University, including:

1) Admission based on the combined scores of subjects in the 2024 high school graduation exam (Method code 100) with an admission score of ≥22.5 points;

2) Admission based on high school academic results (Method code 200)

a. Consider the Grade Point Average (GPA) for 12th grade.

Admission score = Average grade in 12th grade ≥ 8.0, and a grade of "Excellent" in 12th grade or a high school graduation exam score of 8.0 or higher.

b. Consider the scores from all three semesters:

Admission score = (Semester 1 of Grade 11 + Semester 2 of Grade 11 + Semester 1 of Grade 12) ≥ 24 points, and the student must have achieved an "Excellent" academic performance in Grade 12 or a high school graduation exam score of 8.0 or higher.

3) Admission based on the scores from the aptitude test organized by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City in 2024 (Method code 402)

Admission score must be ≥ 750, and applicants must have achieved a "Good" academic performance in 12th grade or a high school graduation exam score of 8.0 or higher.

4) Direct admission according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (Method Code 301)

The registration period for admission is until September 30th, and applicants can register in person at the school or online at https://donga.edu.vn/dangky.

In addition to affordable tuition fees, the Cherry Blossom Scholarship 2024 offers many valuable scholarships for "Talent in Medicine" and "Scholarships for the Development of Medical Doctor Human Resources" for students studying Medicine at Dong A University in the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Dong A University admissions portal has also updated the 2024 admission cutoff scores for nearly 40 undergraduate programs at the Da Nang campus and 20 undergraduate programs at the Dak Lak branch, ranging from 15-22.5 points for the method of considering high school graduation exam results and from 18-24 points for the method of considering high school academic transcripts. Among these, the Health Sciences group of programs has the highest admission cutoff scores among all programs at Dong A University.

It is known that, at the end of July, Dong A University was officially authorized by the Ministry of Education and Training to enroll and train students in the Rehabilitation Engineering major at the undergraduate level starting from the 2024-2025 academic year.
