Participating in the discussion, journalist Ta Bich Loan from Vietnam Television shared that domestic television stations, with their own strengths, are being supported by new technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI).

According to journalist Ta Bich Loan, the AI era is creating the ability to generate digital content, images, and audio using artificial intelligence, but it is also creating many challenges for the television industry in particular and domestic journalism in general.
Also at the discussion session, Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha, Deputy Director of the Center for Digital Content Production and Development (VTV Digital, Vietnam Television), shared that the era of television-centric media has ended, and the media landscape has now shifted to a digital-centric era.

Therefore, Ms. Ha believes that the press needs to rethink its approach, because even television, in particular, is no longer just a form of media but has entered the era of AI application.
Therefore, Ms. Ha believes that those working in television must change first, including creating television programs not for the large screen of a TV, but for the vertical screen of a phone.
Delving into the practical applications of AI in the television industry, Dr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Director of the Television Technology Center, Vietnam Television, stated that AI is now widely applied in television. In particular, AI helps support television content production by creating television clips through text descriptions.

AI tools are also applied in data analysis, providing suggestions for program production to serve viewers. VTV also uses applications like VTVgo and VTV.vn to collect audience behavior, thereby providing useful information for program producers.
Many opinions expressed during the discussion also acknowledged that the application of AI in television is now feasible and an inevitable trend. Therefore, television stations should leverage AI applications in all stages, from content ideation to program production techniques, to improve content quality, speed, accuracy, and more.
The application of AI in television program production ushers in a new era for the television industry in the future.
