According to the Decree stipulating the basic salary and bonus regime for officials, civil servants, public employees, and members of the armed forces, recently issued by the Government , the basic salary will increase to 2,530,000 VND/month from July 1st of this year.
This Decree stipulates the basic salary level applicable to salaried employees, allowances, and bonus schemes applicable to salaried employees working in public agencies, organizations, and units of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and social organizations performing tasks assigned by the State at the central level, at the provincial level, at the city level, at the commune level, at the ward level, at the special zone level under the provincial level, at the special administrative-economic unit level, and in the armed forces.
The basic salary of civil servants is calculated using the formula: Salary = base salary x salary coefficient.
According to the current salary scale, the salary of civil servants holding the title of senior expert is the highest, equivalent to that of a minister.
Specifically, the salaries of senior experts have three salary coefficients: 8.8, 9.4, and 10, corresponding to three salary levels: 22.264 million VND (an increase of over 1.6 million VND), 23.782 million VND (an increase of over 1.7 million VND), and 25.3 million VND (an increase of 1.9 million VND).
The salaries of the remaining officials and civil servants are divided into categories: A3, A2, A1, A0, B, and C. Among these, civil servants in category C (group 3) have the lowest salary at 3.415 million VND/month.

Also from July 1st, pensions and social insurance benefits will increase by 8%. Specifically, the government will raise pensions, social insurance benefits, and monthly allowances to 3.8 million VND/month for certain cases with low benefit levels after the general increase.
