With enthusiasm and creativity, the youth of Da Huoai commune (Lam Dong) have boldly started businesses and established businesses with highly effective economic models, actively contributing to the overall development of the locality.

Graduated from the Faculty of Agronomy, Bao Loc College of Technology and Economics , Mr. Pham Ngoc Long, in village 19, Da Huoai commune, decided to return to his hometown to start a business.

In the land of Da Huoai, which has great agricultural potential, Mr. Long soon realized the potential of durian, a crop that is growing locally.

Applying the knowledge he learned and the support of his family, Mr. Long boldly invested in developing 4 hectares of durian. Applying high technology in production, his durian has grown more and more. Up to now, 2 hectares have entered the stable harvest stage, yielding about 30 tons/ha.

In addition, Mr. Long also developed two agricultural supplies businesses, providing fertilizers and pesticides for his family's crops, and providing services and supporting local people with techniques for care and pest control.

Applying high technology in production, Mr. Pham Ngoc Long's durian grows well and gives high yield.

Thanks to the dual production and business model, Mr. Long has had a high income for his family, while creating stable jobs for about 10 local workers, contributing to solving local employment, increasing income and improving the lives of many households.

Therefore, he decided to choose durian as the main development direction, at the same time, opened an agricultural materials business to serve the growing farming needs of local people.

Mr. Long developed two agricultural supplies businesses locally.

Like Mr. Long, many young people in Da Huoai have made efforts in economic development and changing the structure of crops and livestock.

Many models bring high economic efficiency such as: Durian growing model of Mr. Ngo Huu Phuoc, in village 9, Mr. Tran Quoc Dat, in village 2; Mr. Nguyen Duc Canh, in village 22 with 2 hectares of durian and running an agricultural supplies store...

Accompanying young people in starting a business, Da Huoai Commune Youth Union has focused on promoting propaganda and mobilizing union members and young people to participate in new start-up models; supporting young people in developing their family economy.

Young people are involved in propaganda, training on transferring scientific and technical advances, transforming crop and livestock structures; supporting access to loan sources, applying science and technology, building economic development linkage models...

Durian is a crop chosen by many young people and people of Da Huoai commune to develop the economy.

In the period of 2022 - 2025, the Commune Youth Union coordinated to organize job counseling and labor export activities for more than 1,000 union members and young people; organized 18 vocational training classes attracting 150 young people to participate.

Effectively implementing the movement "Youth of Da Huoai commune join hands to build new countryside" and develop the local economy and society, the whole commune organized more than 80 training courses to transfer science and technology to improve knowledge and techniques in animal husbandry and cultivation for union members, youth and local people.

Da Huoai Commune Youth Union actively accompanies and supports young people, especially ethnic minority youth, in starting and establishing businesses.

At the same time, local youth also have access to loan sources for economic development such as: Youth Business Support Fund, Career and Employment Fund, credit loans through the Social Policy Bank, etc.

The commune Youth Union maintains 3 economic development youth clubs with more than 50 members; actively supports livelihood models for ethnic and religious youth to develop the economy.

Youth of Da Huoai commune are supported with capital, vocational training, propaganda and transfer of science and technology, training, and encouragement to start a business and establish a career.

Ms. Tran Thi Van, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Secretary of the Youth Union of Da Huoai commune, said that in recent years, the youth start-up and career movement in the commune has had many positive changes. Many young people have boldly applied science and technology to production, built effective economic models and proactively connected to the market, especially in the field of high-tech agriculture. Up to now, the whole commune no longer has poor or near-poor households among the youth.
