Information regarding VNeID was noted by the District 7 Department of Education and Training in a document guiding the verification of residential information, serving the purpose of reviewing enrollment data for the 2025-2026 school year, which was recently issued on April 9th.
The document was sent to the People's Committees of 10 wards in District 7 and to preschools, primary schools , and secondary schools in the area.
The District 7 Department of Education and Training requests that all units seriously implement Official Letter No. 04/VP-KSTT dated January 2, 2025, from the Office of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Throughout the enrollment registration process, the information on the VNeID Level 2 electronic identity card account will serve as the basis to replace traditional documents.

For children preparing to enter first grade and students preparing to enter sixth grade in the 2025-2026 school year, the District 7 Department of Education and Training emphasizes: If the current residence information and personal data on the VNeID application have been verified as accurate, units are absolutely not allowed to request citizens to submit any additional documents (CT01, CT07, CT08...), proof, or supplementary residence records, in order to ensure the simplification of administrative procedures as prescribed.
If the current address information and personal data on the VNeID application are confirmed to be inaccurate, the units and educational institutions where the students are in their final year will compile a list and send it to the People's Committee of the ward in their jurisdiction.
"The District 7 Department of Education and Training requests the People's Committee of the ward to coordinate with the ward police to verify the residential information of parents, guardians, or household heads on the VNeID application that does not match the actual information provided by the people, or to address difficulties in determining the actual residence of the student. The results should be compiled and reported to the relevant units, educational institutions, and parents for their information and to update the VNeID and the education sector's database," the District 7 Department of Education and Training instructed.
Is VNeID owned by parents or students?
Recently, in a comment on Thanh Nien Online , a reader asked: "Is the residence information on VNeID for the parent or the student? If it's for the student, and they haven't yet obtained a Citizen Identification Card (CCCD), do they need to get one?"
To answer our readers' question: VNeID belongs to the student's parents. When parents log into VNeID after level 2 identification, they can see the "Residence Information" icon on the main screen.
Clicking here will display the VNeID account holder's residential information, such as permanent address, current address, and relationship to the head of household. Clicking on "Other members of the household" will show information about other members, including the student's information, such as full name, personal identification number, gender, relationship to the head of household, citizenship status, etc.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training and the local Departments of Education and Training in the city also issued guidance documents specifically for parents on the steps to review and verify online enrollment information on the Ho Chi Minh City primary school enrollment website (https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn).
