According to RT , on July 17, the Ukrainian Parliament appointed former Prime Minister Denis Shmigal as the country's new Minister of Defense.
It is known that on July 15, Mr. Denis Shmigal announced that he had submitted his resignation as Prime Minister of Ukraine, as part of a government reshuffle to strengthen the country's economic and military management capacity during the conflict with Russia.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Denis Shmigal as the next Defense Minister of Ukraine, replacing Rustem Umerov. In a video released on the evening of July 14, President Zelensky praised Denis Shmigal's experience in managing the country's limited resources, saying that this would be very valuable in his new role.
Also on July 17, the Ukrainian Parliament appointed Ms. Yulia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister, succeeding Mr. Denis Shmigal.
"It is a great honor for me to lead the Government of Ukraine. The Government is aiming to build a country that is self-sufficient in military, economic and social terms. My top goal is to bring about real, positive results that Ukrainians can feel in their daily lives," Ms. Svyrydenko wrote on the X network.

Ms Svyrydenko, 39, who brokered a deal that would give the US preferential access to Ukraine’s mineral resources, said she would soon present her proposed government and cabinet action plan.
