At the conference, numerous in-depth reports updated the latest trends in diagnostic imaging. Mr. Hiroshi Tani, CEO of Canon Asia, representing Canon Medical Equipment Group, stated that the company has been providing many advanced, state-of-the-art machines to hospitals in the Mekong Delta region, especially Can Tho. Notable examples include the Aquilion ONE Insight Edition 640-slice CT system and the Canon Medical Asia computed tomography system, which optimize diagnostic imaging quality and support effective screening and treatment, particularly for cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
In the field of cardiology, advances in cancer diagnosis have also been updated. According to Dr. Vo Van Kha, Vice President of the Vietnam Cancer Society and Director of Can Tho Oncology Hospital: Cancer diagnosis has shifted from manual observation to data digitization, and is now in the boom phase of AI with deep learning technologies. AI has shown outstanding effectiveness in early detection of lung cancer on low-dose CT scans, supporting breast cancer screening, detecting colorectal polyps in real time, and improving accuracy in digital pathology.
"The future of medicine is not about AI replacing doctors, but about a symbiotic relationship between technology and humans, aiming to improve the quality of diagnosis and patient care," emphasized Dr. Vo Van Kha.

According to Dr. Chu Van Vinh, Director of Hoa Hao Medic Can Tho Hospital: Accurate diagnostic imaging plays a crucial role in improving treatment effectiveness and extending the lifespan of patients. With the strong development of medical imaging technology, modern testing techniques, and AI, breakthroughs in medicine are emerging. AI not only supports the analysis of images and test data with high accuracy but also contributes to reducing the workload for medical staff, standardizing diagnostic procedures, and improving the quality of patient care.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, affirmed: As the leading city in high-quality specialized healthcare in the Mekong Delta region, Can Tho City is committed to investing in the development of a comprehensive healthcare infrastructure, while encouraging the private healthcare sector to apply advanced techniques and strengthen international cooperation to improve the capacity for medical examination and treatment in the region.
