Throughout his life, President Ho Chi Minh always highly valued the important position and role of youth – the successor force for the Party's cause, the future and destiny of the nation, and the prospects of the Fatherland. He emphasized: "Youth are the masters of the future of the country. Indeed, whether the country prospers or declines, is weak or strong, depends largely on the youth."
President Ho Chi Minh's views on youth have become a guiding principle throughout the Party and State's policies on youth moral education, aiming to nurture and develop the strength of youth in the cause of national construction and defense. The Seventh Plenum of the Central Committee of the Party (10th term) issued Resolution No. 25-NQ/TW on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over youth work during the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization." The Political Report at the 13th Party Congress also emphasized the task of strengthening education on revolutionary ideals, morality, and cultural lifestyle; enhancing patriotism and national pride; fostering aspirations and ambitions; and upholding a sense of responsibility towards the country and society. To create an environment and conditions for learning, working, recreation, and training that fosters healthy, comprehensive, and harmonious development in intellect, physical health, and aesthetic values for the younger generation.

For young people, students, and those still studying and researching in schools, the Party directs: "Emphasize the cultivation in students of a strong aspiration to build a prosperous and strong country, linking their personal careers with the future of the community and the nation, and instilling in students the character, qualities, and lifestyle of the modern Vietnamese youth." This is reflected in the Party and State's attention to the legitimate needs and aspirations of young people. At the same time, it involves developing specific policies and plans for youth union members, creating a favorable environment for learning, training, working, and studying, so that young people can develop their abilities, creativity, and youthful energy in the cause of building and protecting the country.
Currently, we have many programs, forms, and integrated methods aimed at educating students about revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles in the context of digital transformation and global integration. Students at various schools have been studying and training in accordance with Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021, of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW, dated May 15, 2016, of the 12th Politburo "On promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style." In addition, the Party and State have issued many important directives related to the education of revolutionary ideals, morality, and lifestyle for students, such as: Decision No. 1501/QD-TTg dated August 28, 2015, of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Strengthening the education of revolutionary ideals, morality, and lifestyle for youth, teenagers, and children in the period 2015-2020," and Directive No. 42-CT/TW dated March 24, 2015, of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over this work. Educating the younger generation on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles during the period 2015-2030…
Furthermore, colleges and universities nationwide have been implementing Civic Education Week to contribute to raising students' awareness of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations, thereby equipping them with sufficient and timely basic and necessary information about the domestic and international economic, political, and social situation.
Fifty-five years have passed since President Ho Chi Minh's passing, but his thoughts and teachings on moral education for youth continue to illuminate and guide generations of Vietnamese youth in successfully fulfilling all tasks and contributing to the victory in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
