Focusing on directing localities to do a good job of preparing for the spring tree planting ceremony associated with the spring reforestation work in 2025, to date, Van Yen district has planted 2,605/2,800 hectares of forest, equivalent to 93% of the plan.

Accordingly, Van Yen district successfully organized the "Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to Uncle Ho" in Mau Dong commune. To date, the district has planted 2,605/2,800 hectares of forest, equivalent to 93% of the plan. Of which: cinnamon trees account for 2,263 hectares, and other forestry trees account for 342 hectares.

The district also focused on improving forest management and protection, as well as forest fire prevention and control; integrating the organization of 8 conferences to disseminate the Forestry Law and related documents, with 607 participants. As a result, in the first quarter of 2025, the entire district did not experience any violations of the Forestry Law or forest fires.

Along with spring reforestation efforts, from the beginning of the year until now, Van Yen has harvested 59,600/170,000 m3 of timber from planted forests of all types, equivalent to 35.1% of the 2025 plan. Businesses in the district maintain 10,357.15 hectares of organic cinnamon certified from previous years (including new certifications and reassessments).
