Converted to the USD exchange rate, on the free market (25,733 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 82.58 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.62 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Spot gold prices rose for a fourth straight session on Tuesday, hitting their highest in more than a week as safe-haven demand surged following a gloomy revenue forecast from AI leader Nvidia and rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

Spot gold rose 0.8% to $2,670.49 an ounce at 01:48 p.m. EST (1848 GMT), while U.S. gold futures rose 0.9% to $2,674.90.

“ This has really been a major geopolitical factor that has impacted the gold market over the past few days – the heightened tensions between Ukraine and Russia being perhaps the most notable factor ,” said David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures.

Investors flock to safe-haven assets during global crises and gold prices have soared to multiple record highs since Middle East conflict erupted last October.

With the US vetoing a UN ceasefire resolution in Gaza and tensions rising between Russia and Ukraine, geopolitical risk premiums remain high, ensuring gold's long-term appeal.

The drop in stocks after Nvidia’s earnings announcement certainly supported the safe-haven metal, Meger added. Global stocks fell after AI leader Nvidia’s revenue growth forecast failed to excite investors.

Spot gold prices rose 4% this week, their best performance since April, recovering from last week's steepest decline in more than three years. Bullion's decline was fueled by a surging dollar, fueled by the "Trump Trade" excitement.

“ The next upside price objective for the (gold) bulls is to produce a close above solid resistance at $2,700.00, ” Jim Wyckoff, senior market analyst at Kitco Metals, said in a note.

Brokerages predict that President-elect Trump's proposed tariffs will fuel global market volatility and inflation , limiting central banks' ability to ease monetary policy.

Meanwhile, a Reuters poll showed most economists expect the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates in December, with smaller cuts expected in 2025.

Investors are also focused on a number of Fed officials scheduled to speak this week. Expectations for a December rate cut have fallen sharply, with the probability now at 56%, down from 82.5% just a week ago.

Spot silver fell 0.1% to $30.85 an ounce, platinum rose 0.5% to $965.75 and palladium rose 1.5% to $1,036.13.
