Coast Guard Region 2: Searching for the 'Pioneering and Victorious Youth Union Leader'

The Command of Coast Guard Region 2 organized the 2026 Competition for Outstanding Youth Union Cadres and Young Propagandists with the theme "Youth Union Leaders Pioneering and Decisive to Victory".

On June 2nd, in Nui Thanh commune ( Da Nang city), the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Excellent Youth Union Cadre and Young Propagandist Competition with the theme "Pioneering Youth Union Leaders Determined to Win". Colonel Le Huy, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Command of Coast Guard Region 2, attended and directed the competition.

The competition included 17 contestants who were youth union officials and 5 teams of young propagandists from agencies and units throughout the Regional Command.

For the competition to select outstanding Youth Union officials, candidates undergo tests in knowledge, skills, and talent. The knowledge test is conducted in a multiple-choice format using digital software; the skills test focuses on developing activity programs, organizing forums and youth seminars, conducting Youth Union activities, and handling practical situations in Youth Union work and youth movements.

In the Young Propagandist category, competing teams conduct propaganda through theatrical performances, focusing on oral communication. The content of the propaganda focuses on resolutions of Party congresses and Youth Union congresses at all levels, along with the unit's youth action program in implementing these resolutions.

In his opening remarks at the competition, Colonel Tran Hong Que, Deputy Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, emphasized that this is an opportunity to comprehensively assess the level, capacity, and work skills of young cadres and propagandists; and at the same time create an environment for interaction, learning, and exchange of experiences, contributing to improving the quality of Youth Union work and youth movements throughout the unit.

Through this competition, the Party's and Youth Union's policies and resolutions continue to be widely disseminated to cadres and youth union members; thereby promoting the pioneering spirit, creativity, and aspiration for contribution of young Coast Guard personnel in performing the task of managing and protecting sovereignty , maintaining security, order, and safety in the country's maritime areas. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the contestants proceeded to the general knowledge, Youth Union cadre skills, and talent sections of the competition.

The competition is a practical activity aimed at building a team of young Youth Union officials and propagandists with strong political convictions, good moral character, professional qualifications, and work skills to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
