Round 4 of the LPBank V-League 2024-2025 marked a special milestone, as all 7 matches in the round featured VAR.
This will be the first round marking the milestone of VAR technology being used in all matches within a round. In the 2024-2025 season, each round will typically have a maximum of 6 matches with VAR assistance. The support of this technology has significantly contributed to minimizing serious errors affecting match results.

With four VAR vehicles currently in operation, distributed across the North, Central, and South regions, VAR is gradually becoming an indispensable part of matches and plays a crucial role in ensuring fairness and minimizing controversy in Vietnam's top professional league.
Round 4 includes 5 matches taking place on October 3rd and 4th, along with 2 later matches on October 19th (Nam Dinh vs. SLNA and Hanoi FC vs. CAHN FC). The schedule changes for Round 4 were announced to the clubs on September 13th following adjustments to the National Cup's organizational plan.

The reason why the two matches between Nam Dinh FC and SLNA, and Hanoi FC and CAHN FC, took place the latest (October 19th) was due to objective reasons.
Nam Dinh FC has a scheduling conflict with their AFC Champions League 2 (Asian Cup C2) match on October 2nd. Meanwhile, Hang Day Stadium (home of Hanoi FC and CAHN FC) has a plan from the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to host an international women's football tournament from October 1st to 10th to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi.
In Round 4, the early matches were all exciting clashes. Two matches taking place at 6 PM on October 3rd saw the top two teams take to the field. Second-placed Ha Tinh faced Quang Nam, while league leaders HAGL played away against newcomer Da Nang.

HAGL and Ha Tinh are currently undefeated and leading the league table. Facing weaker opponents is an advantage for both teams in defending their top positions.
Following that, two matches will take place at 6 PM on October 4th. Binh Duong FC will return to their home ground, Go Dau Stadium, to face Ho Chi Minh City FC. At Quy Nhon Stadium, V-League runner-up Binh Dinh will take on Thanh Hoa FC – the reigning National Cup champions. Then, at 7:15 PM on October 5th, Hai Phong FC will face The Cong Viettel at Lach Tray Stadium.
Following the early matches of V-League Round 4, national professional football leagues will take a break to allow the Vietnamese national team to participate in FIFA Days from October 5th to 16th. The remaining matches of Round 4 will resume on October 19th.
