Round 4 of LPBank V-League 2024 - 2025 witnessed a special milestone, when all 7 matches within the framework of the round had the presence of VAR.
This will be the first round to mark the milestone of VAR technology being covered in all matches in a round. In the 2024-2025 season, each round usually has a maximum of 6 matches with VAR support. The support of this technology has contributed to significantly reducing serious errors that affect the results of the match.

With 4 VAR vehicles in operation, distributed in the North, Central and South regions, VAR is gradually becoming an indispensable part of matches and plays an important role in bringing fairness and limiting controversy in Vietnam's top professional tournament.
Round 4 has 5 matches taking place on October 3 and 4, with 2 late matches taking place on October 19 ( Nam Dinh vs SLNA and Hanoi FC vs CAHN FC). The change in schedule of round 4 was announced to the clubs on September 13 after the adjustment of the National Cup organization plan.

The reason why the two matches between Nam Dinh FC and SLNA and Hanoi FC and CAHN FC took place the latest (October 19) is due to objective reasons.
Nam Dinh FC is scheduled to compete in the AFC Champions League 2 (Asian Cup C2) on October 2. Meanwhile, Hang Day Stadium (home of Hanoi FC and CAHN FC) has a plan from the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to organize an international women's football tournament from October 1 to October 10 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
In round 4, the early matches are all exciting confrontations. The two matches taking place at 6pm on October 3 will see the two leading teams take to the field. Second-placed Ha Tinh will face Quang Nam, while top-placed HAGL will visit newcomer Da Nang.

VAR helps reduce errors
HAGL and Ha Tinh are undefeated and leading the rankings. Facing opponents considered weaker is an advantage for both teams to protect their positions in the top group.
Then there are two matches taking place at 6pm on October 4, when Binh Duong Club returns to their home ground Go Dau to compete with Ho Chi Minh City Club. At Quy Nhon Stadium, the current V-League runner-up Binh Dinh will face Thanh Hoa Club – the current National Cup champion. At 7:15pm on October 5, Hai Phong Club will face The Cong Viettel at Lach Tray Stadium.
After the early matches of round 4 of the V-League, the national professional football tournaments will take a break so that the Vietnamese team can focus on FIFA days from October 5 to October 16. On October 19, the remaining matches of round 4 will begin.
