On the afternoon of May 14, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union organized an exchange program with athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh. Many fans, especially union members and young people of the city, came to exchange with the owner of 4 gold medals in athletics at the 32nd SEA Games.

Mr. Ngo Minh Hai, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Youth Union, awarded a Certificate of Merit to athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh.

Before competing at the 32nd SEA Games, Oanh finished her master's degree at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports .

Oanh said that the achievements she has made in both competition and study will help her create more wonderful things in the future.

After returning to Ho Chi Minh City from Cambodia, Nguyen Thi Oanh had some experiential activities here. The female athlete went to tailor an ao dai, buy high heels and experience the river bus route.

Facing the affection that Ho Chi Minh City fans have for her, Oanh said she is very touched and happy. "Oanh knows that everyone has always followed and cheered for her throughout her journey. That is why everyone understands her training and competition process very well. Oanh does not feel lonely on her journey. It is the affection of the fans that is the driving force and great source of spiritual encouragement for Oanh to conquer the road ahead" - Nguyen Thi Oanh shared.

The female athlete is looking forward to the tournaments from now until the end of the year with a high level of concentration and determination to overcome all difficulties and challenges.

At the meeting, coach of athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh, Mr. Tran Van Sy, shared his opinion on the information about the salary of 7 million VND/month that his student received.

According to Coach Tran Van Sy, the Party, State and Government have in recent years created favorable conditions for those working in the sports industry. In addition, businesses and sponsors have helped the Vietnamese sports industry a lot.

Regarding Nguyen Thi Oanh's salary, Mr. Sy said that with the spirit of "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and responsible", there is no need to discuss the salary that Oanh receives. The most important thing is still the number of gold medals that Oanh will reap in the near future.
