In order to concretize policies on digital transformation in education, the Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Education Association in collaboration with the Maple Science, Technology and Economic Development Center (Maple STC) and the ABE Examination Organization (UK) organized a series of in-depth seminars "Application of AI in vocational education: From policy to practice".
In-depth workshop "Application of AI in vocational education: From policy to practice".
The first workshop with the theme "Application of AI for Consulting, Career Guidance and Admissions" was held on the morning of May 9 at Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics, gathering a large number of delegates from educational institutions, technology organizations and policy makers.
Mr. Do Huu Khoa, Standing Member, Head of the Digital Transformation Committee of the Vocational Education Association, said that the series of seminars is a step to concretize the State's strategic orientations on digital transformation. Through automating repetitive tasks, analyzing big data, personalizing learning and forecasting career trends, AI opens up new directions for training institutions in optimizing resources and increasing the effectiveness of reaching learners.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Phuc, Director of Research and Product Development of Workerbot Company Limited, said that vocational training institutions in Ho Chi Minh City and many provinces and cities are facing three major problems in enrollment.
"One is that it is difficult to reach the right students, especially in the context of high competition with universities; two is that recruitment resources are still thin, there is no effective student data management system; three is the lack of personalized communication tools and automated consulting support, leading to high recruitment costs but not commensurate efficiency" - Mr. Phuc pointed out.
Mr. Phuc introduced the AI application model for automatic admission consulting, supporting candidates through Facebook channels, Zalo OA and the website of Van Lang College.
According to Mr. Phuc, if applied, AI will be a powerful "arm" to help schools save time, costs and recruit students effectively.
Specifically, AI helps analyze student behavior, career interests, geographic location, and information search journey to personalize admissions messages. Then send them to students at the right time.
AI Chatbot can provide 24/7 consultation, answer all questions from students and parents, and is capable of automatically registering for admission on the school's digital platform. The AI system integrated with CRM helps analyze conversion rates, effective touch points, and propose optimal options for admission campaigns.
