The Traffic Police Department said that after passing the test to issue a driving license that meets the requirements on the National Identification Application (VNeID) of the individual (according to the declared personal identification code), people will receive a notification message and request to update their driving license information.
At that time, people will update information as required, provided that the citizen identification number matches the identification number when registering for the exam and installing VNeID level 2.
However, there are also cases where the VNeID electronic identification account does not display driver's license information data after 3 days of the person passing the test completing the declaration procedures.
The Traffic Police Department initially determined that the cause of the above situation was due to the transmission line being overloaded, the data synchronization process between systems had to go through many steps leading to slowness; the individual declared one of the information contents incorrectly; the individual did not open the message and make the update request on VNeID.
The Traffic Police Department has coordinated with technical units to fix and optimize transmission lines, ensuring quick updates (implemented from July 14, 2025).
Therefore, for individuals who have successfully passed the test but have not seen their driver's license information updated on VNeID, they need to access VNeID to update information related to their driver's license.
Currently, in addition to using accounts on VNeID, traffic participants can exploit data on the electronic information page on driving licenses (https://gplx.csgt.bocongan.gov.vn) or the VneTraffic application to present their driving licenses when inspected by authorities.
The information on the electronic identification application, the electronic information page about driving licenses and the VneTraffic application is equivalent to a physical driving license.
Patrol forces use data on electronic identification applications, electronic information pages on driver's licenses or applications of the Traffic Police force to inspect, control and handle violations.
The Traffic Police Department also recommends that people absolutely do not listen to phone calls for instructions or access strange links because they are very susceptible to being taken advantage of and scammed.
“The police agency only works directly (in specific cases, a document will be sent by post or through the commune-level police where the individual resides), does not work via phone, video call, and does not require activation of the link,” said a representative of the Traffic Police Department.
When encountering difficulties or problems with testing and issuing and exchanging road motor vehicle driving licenses, people can contact the Traffic Police Department of the provincial or municipal police where they reside or the Traffic Police Department at email: [email protected].
From here, people access the document wallet and choose to integrate documents. In the information integration section, choose to create a new request; choose the information type and choose the driver's license; enter personal information (driver's license number and class) in the information fields in the section and then send the request. The application will notify that the request has been sent successfully and have specific information about the driver's license being received (class, driver's license number, date of request creation)./.
