"The 'Vietnamese Village Tet 2025' program at Mong Phu communal house, Duong Lam ancient village (Son Tay); the Tet celebration program at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village with the theme 'Spring Comes to the Village'; the 'Vietnamese Tet - Street Tet 2025' program in the Old Quarter..." - Ms. Giang cited as examples.
Similarly, Da Nang City organized a program to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine and flowers at Ba Na Hills; a spring flower street along Bach Dang and Tran Phu roads; a fire and water show at the Dragon Bridge; and the installation of a "check-in" model in the Dragon Bridge area. Can Tho City organized many cultural and artistic activities at various destinations, offering tourists many interesting experiences.
Diverse spring tour options
To meet the demands of international tourists, travel companies have actively developed new products, focusing on highlighting regional advantages, linking development according to the "one route, many destinations" orientation, and diversifying services to increase revenue during the Tet holiday.

Information from tourism businesses indicates that during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake (2015), major companies such as Hanoitourist, Saigontourist, Vietravel, Viet Tourism, Benthanhtourist, etc., developed many new tours with attractive promotional offers. This year's Tet holiday tourism market saw many train tours on routes such as Hanoi - Lao Cai, Quang Binh, or Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang, Hue, Da Nang...
Not only travel companies, but even major airlines have prepared plans for the upcoming Tet holiday season in 2025. Accordingly, to meet the peak travel demand at the end of the year and for Tet flights, Vietjet Airlines is reopening routes to and from Da Nang - Da Lat; Phu Quoc, Can Tho - Da Lat, with promotional tickets starting from 0 VND.
Beyond diversifying tours to cater to holiday travel needs during Tet, many businesses are also offering promotional programs to stimulate demand. According to Ha Van Thang, Director of the Lao Cai Department of Tourism, as part of a stimulus program, Lao Cai tourism and over 130 tourism businesses are implementing a campaign called "Touching Sa Pa - Touching the Clouds," offering discounts of 30-50% on services.
Similarly, from now until the end of the first quarter of 2025, Quang Ninh tourism will organize a cooperation program to stimulate tourism demand called "Quang Ninh - A Four-Season Destination". Under this program, luxury hotels will reduce room rates by 40%, transportation companies will reduce all airport transfer and tour package services by 25%, and businesses operating sightseeing boats in Ha Long Bay will reduce service fees by 5-10%.
Assessing the results of welcoming tourists during the Tet holiday, especially international visitors, the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, said that the number of international visitors to Vietnam continued to increase compared to the same period in 2024 thanks to the effect of favorable visa policies. Along with that, the tourism industry has correctly oriented itself in restructuring the market, and businesses and localities have made efforts to innovate products and boost promotional activities.
Analyzing the reasons why Vietnam's tourism industry attracted a large number of international tourists during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, the Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, Nguyen Trung Khanh, stated that: the widespread promotional activities implemented by tourism businesses affirmed the image of Vietnam as a safe and friendly tourist destination. Simultaneously, the quality of services was improved to best meet the needs of tourists. The collective efforts of all units created a healthy tourism environment. “Although there are still many difficulties, the high number of tourists during Tet, especially international tourists, is a positive sign for the tourism industry to accelerate the implementation of many activities to welcome tourists in 2025, thereby achieving the target of welcoming 23 million international tourists in 2025,” Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh expressed.
