The Vietnamese national team competing in the 2025 International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) in Beijing, China, has achieved excellent results in both individual and team events.
In the individual competition, 100% of participating Vietnamese students won prizes with 3 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal, 3 Bronze medals and 1 Encouragement prize.
This is the information just announced by the Ministry of Education and Training tonight, August 8.
Specifically, the students who won the Gold medals include Nguyen Viet Trung Nhan (grade 10, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences , University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi), Nguyen Huu Tuan (grade 11, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and Nguyen Phu Nhan (grade 11, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang city).
Nguyen Nhat Minh (grade 10, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi ) won the Silver medal.
The students who won Bronze medals were Nguyen Khac Trung Kien (grade 12, High School for the Gifted, Hanoi National University of Education), Bui Dam Quan (grade 12, High School for the Gifted, Hanoi National University of Education), and Hoang Cong Bao Long (grade 11, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang City).
Student Bui Quang Nguyen, grade 12, High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi won the Encouragement Prize.
In the team competition, Vietnam team 2 including students Nguyen Khac Trung Kien, Hoang Cong Bao Long, Nguyen Phu Nhan and Bui Dam Quan achieved 4th place with 198.4 points - behind the teams of Poland, Russia and Hungary.
With this result, the Vietnamese national team is among the top 4 countries and territories with the highest achievements at the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, continuing to affirm the position of Vietnamese education in the international intellectual arena.
The 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad was held in Beijing, China from August 2 to 8 with the official participation of 300 contestants from 78 teams from 60 countries and territories. The Vietnamese national team had 8 students participating./.
