Responding to a reporter's question about how Vietnam is monitoring incoming passengers to prevent the Hanta virus from entering the country, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that, according to information from relevant authorities, no cases of Hanta virus infection have been detected in Vietnam to date.
Vietnam has proactively strengthened its efforts to update information on the global epidemic, strictly implemented border health quarantine procedures, and actively tightened disease surveillance at border gates and at medical facilities, ensuring hygiene and disinfection, and taking appropriate preventive measures to minimize the risk of Hanta virus entering Vietnam.
Vietnamese authorities have issued recommendations to the public to continue practicing environmental hygiene and implementing measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
Currently, domestic authorities are working closely with the World Health Organization (WHO) and relevant agencies to update the situation, assess risks, and implement appropriate response measures, while promptly informing the public of any new developments.
