Caring for, nurturing, educating, and protecting children so that they can develop comprehensively is the responsibility of the entire society. Leveraging the pioneering spirit of youth, in recent times, the Youth Union and Associations at all levels in the province have concretized the "Helping Children Go to School" program with specific models, activities, and tasks, bringing positive results and creating a ripple effect. Through this, they have supported and empowered many disadvantaged children in the province to attend school, study, and play.

Implemented by various levels of the Youth Union and Youth Association for many years, the "Youth Union's Sponsored Child" model involves Youth Union organizations sponsoring disadvantaged children in their areas and mobilizing social resources to provide them with essential material support. This meaningful activity has brought much joy and provided a foundation for disadvantaged students to nurture their dreams of excelling in their studies. It also clearly demonstrates the Youth Union's role in accompanying, caring for, and educating children. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has directed the maintenance and expansion of this model; commune-level and grassroots Youth Unions have proactively and actively built up funds through various means: appealing to philanthropists and businesses, mobilizing contributions from officials and members at the grassroots level; and undertaking projects and tasks to raise funds. Besides providing material support, the Youth Union branches regularly visit and encourage the children in their lives, providing timely and practical support to help them overcome difficulties, bringing joy and igniting dreams for disadvantaged members and teenagers, giving them opportunities to study, train, integrate, and cultivate their dreams and aspirations for the future.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, born in 2012, a student from a disadvantaged background living with her maternal grandparents in Thanh Ba commune, was able to attend school with her classmates thanks to the timely encouragement, help, and support of the Thanh Ba Commune Police Youth Union under the "Adopted Child of the Youth Union" model. From contributions by officers, soldiers, and members of the Thanh Ba Commune Police Youth Union, Linh receives 3 million VND annually until she reaches 18 years of age.

The Youth Union of Thanh Ba Commune Police has adopted Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, a student at Thanh Ba Town Secondary School 1, as a "foster child of the Youth Union" until she turns 18.

Along with Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, many disadvantaged students in the province have been able to continue their education and pursue their dreams thanks to the timely support of the Youth Union at all levels. They not only receive monthly and annual financial support, but also meaningful gifts on occasions such as the start of the school year, the opening of the school year, Children's Day (June 1st), Mid-Autumn Festival, and Lunar New Year. More importantly, they regularly receive encouragement, support, and guidance from Youth Union officials and members, giving them more confidence and motivation to excel in their studies and lives.

According to Bui Duc Giang, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union has issued a plan and directed the implementation of the program "Helping Children Go to School - Assisting 500 Children in Difficult Circumstances". Youth Union branches at all levels have seriously and actively participated in implementing the program through various models and specific actions. In addition to the "Adopted Children of the Youth Union" model, Youth Union organizations have creatively and proactively mobilized funding to provide gifts such as school supplies, books, notebooks, bicycles, etc., at the beginning of the school year; and coordinated with sponsors and supporting units to build "Red Scarf Houses" for disadvantaged students. From 2020 to the present, Youth Union branches throughout the province have implemented nearly 4,000 youth projects and over 42,000 good deeds, many of which have promptly supported and empowered disadvantaged students to attend school. In the 2024-2025 school year alone, the Youth Union, Youth Association, and Children's Union at all levels provided support to over 27,000 disadvantaged students with more than 5 billion VND... This has become a driving force encouraging them to strive for high academic results.

In fact, the models and activities aimed at helping disadvantaged students have more opportunities to attend school have been effective, creating a positive ripple effect and receiving support from local Party committees, authorities, agencies, and organizations. In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to direct its affiliated Youth Union organizations to implement the "For Our Beloved Children" campaign; allocating support resources in a transparent and fair manner, targeting the right beneficiaries... Youth Union organizations at all levels will strengthen propaganda, mobilization, and connection with organizations and individuals to provide sponsorship and financial support for living expenses and studies for disadvantaged students in the province...
