Vietnam Airlines plans to have internet on some flights from 2025


Vietnam Airlines and Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (VNPT) have just signed a cooperation agreement to deploy in-flight internet connection services. With this signing, it is expected that some of the airline's flights will have internet connection from 2025.

Specifically, Vietnam Airlines plans to deploy in-air internet connection for some of its aircraft in 2025 on international flights to the US, Europe and some domestic flights. The remaining aircraft and flights will continue to be deployed from 2026.

VNPT will coordinate with Vietnam Airlines to build a roadmap, complete procedures, install hardware, set up software and support operations and exploitation. With advances in technology, it is expected that the speed of Vietnam Airlines' in-flight internet network can be up to 60 Mbps. With this new service, Vietnam Airlines passengers will be able to use internet services for entertainment and work while in the air.

Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines, said that the deployment of in-flight internet service will be a breakthrough product, enhancing services, contributing to helping Vietnam Airlines soon achieve its goal of becoming a technology airline. leading number in the area.
