Specifically, Vietnam Airlines plans to deploy in-air internet connection for some of its aircraft in 2025 on international flights to the US, Europe and some domestic flights. The remaining aircraft and flights will continue to be deployed from 2026.
VNPT will coordinate with Vietnam Airlines to build a roadmap, complete procedures, install hardware, set up software and support operations and exploitation. With advances in technology, it is expected that the speed of Vietnam Airlines' in-flight internet network can be up to 60 Mbps. With this new service, Vietnam Airlines passengers will be able to use internet services for entertainment and work while in the air.
