Viettel continues to strengthen its pioneering position in creating digital infrastructure and promoting e-commerce in the Indochina region.

Unitel Logistics is oriented towards becoming an integrated logistics enterprise, comprehensively applying digital technology in the management and operation of its supply chain. Its core activities include logistics, warehousing, international intermodal transport, and cross-border e-commerce, meeting the growing transportation needs between Vietnam, Laos, and neighboring countries.

In its initial phase, Unitel Logistics invested in a comprehensive nationwide infrastructure system, including three large-scale logistics centers in Oudomxay, Vientiane, and Savannakhet; six bonded warehouses at border crossings with Vietnam, Thailand, and China; and over 1,500 transaction points covering 18 provinces and cities, double the size of the existing market. A multimodal transport network was deployed, comprising road transport with 306 N+1 delivery routes, railways connecting Laos and China, Laos and Thailand, and air transport, directly connecting to key economic centers in the region.

Unitel Logistics applies comprehensive digital technology in its operations: from intelligent routing, flow management, real-time tracking to big data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize costs, shorten delivery times, and ensure transparency throughout the entire chain. As a result, the company has formed a complete logistics service ecosystem, providing a convenient experience for people and businesses in Laos, from door-to-door delivery and pickup to the selection of transportation, warehousing, and value-added services according to their needs.

Unitel Logistics aims for an average growth rate of 32% per year from 2025 to 2033, contributing to reducing Laos' logistics costs to 15% of GDP, enhancing competitiveness, and attracting foreign investment. The project is expected to create more than 30,000 jobs, expand infrastructure to remote areas, and help all Lao citizens benefit from a modern, smart, and sustainable logistics system.

Unitel Logistics is a testament to the strong cooperative relationship between the Governments and Ministries of Defense of Vietnam and Laos, marking an expansion of cooperation from telecommunications and information technology to logistics, a crucial infrastructure sector connecting the region's digital economy. When the Vung Ang Port No. 3 becomes operational at the end of 2025, Unitel Logistics will become a vital link in the Indochina trade infrastructure chain, helping Lao goods reach the open sea and realizing the aspirations for integration and shared prosperity of both countries.
