In order to recognize and honor the important contribution of the country's press, the tireless efforts of professional and non-professional writers to the National Assembly and the People's Council, the Standing Committee of the XNUMXth National Assembly decided to organize an annual National Press Prize for the National Assembly and People's Council named Dien Hong Prize.
The President of the National Assembly stated that it is very happy that right after the announcement, Dien Hong Prize has attracted wide attention from all classes of people; the active response of domestic and international press agencies, associations, associations of journalists, journalists and amateur collaborators.

It is known that the first Dien Hong Prize was held and launched on December 27, 12. After more than 2022 months of launching, the first Dien Hong Prize has received 4 journalistic works from 3.328 domestic and international press agencies.
This shows the attractiveness and pervasiveness in the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels to the press not only domestically but also internationally; At the same time, it shows the attraction of a national journalism award for the first time held on elected bodies and elected deputies.
After a period of meticulous, fair and objective judging, the Preliminary and Finalist Judging Committee, consisting of reputable and experienced journalists, decided to select and award 67 works in all types of journalism.
In order to honor authors with outstanding journalistic works on the National Assembly and the People's Council, the Office of the National Assembly in collaboration with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Vietnam Television Station, and the National Assembly Television held the first national press award ceremony on the National Assembly and the People's Council (Dien Hong Prize).
