Vinh Long expects to welcome more than 11 million visitors in 2025

In the first 9 months of 2025, Vinh Long province welcomed nearly 7 million visitors, including nearly 1 million international visitors. The province's tourism industry set a target of 7,300 billion VND in revenue for the whole year of 2025, striving to welcome an additional 4.6 million visitors in the last 3 months of the year, with a revenue of about 3,000 billion VND.

After the merger, Vinh Long province is located right in the center of the eastern coastal sub-region of the Mekong Delta, with 130 km of coastline, many floating islands and offshore wind power projects - very favorable for developing eco-tourism and resorts.

The locality also has a unique cultural convergence with the long-standing coexistence of three ethnic groups: Kinh, Khmer, and Hoa, creating a diverse and rich cultural identity. In addition, the province also has 3 national treasures, 16 national intangible cultural heritages and 214 ranked relics, including 2 special national relics. This is an important foundation for the development of unique cultural and historical tourism.

Currently, the whole province has 67 travel agencies, 356 accommodation establishments and many typical tourist attractions. Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Long province - Mr. Lam Huu Phuc said: "After the merger, the tourism sector of Vinh Long province has a very rich ecosystem, with products converging from the 3 old provinces. In which, we identify sea tourism, cultural tourism, river and garden tourism, and resort tourism as breakthrough products to exploit, in which sea tourism is also a highlight".

Vinh Long tourism industry is promoting connections and investment, aiming to become an attractive destination of the region with the characteristics of rivers, gardens and homestay community tourism.
