VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight announces runner's shirt

The VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight 2024 jersey features neon yellow and mint green tones, inspired by the vibrant pace of life in the coastal city.

Three months before the VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight 2024, the Organizing Committee launched the first item design, the racing shirt. Runners who register for the Da Nang night race will wear one of two versions: T-shirt or Singlet.

The design team said the shirt was inspired by the dynamism and youthfulness of Da Nang, known as "the most livable city in Vietnam". After presenting many sketches and color options, the organizers chose neon yellow combined with mint green.

"The colors were chosen based on the criteria of standing out at night, while simulating the bright yellow sunlight that permeates every street corner every summer. The mint green color creates balance, bringing a cool feeling in the summer weather of July," the design team shared.

The main details printed on the shirt are inspired by the bokeh lights on the streets at night. The words "Da Nang Midnight" are embossed on the front and embossed on the back, creating a dynamic and youthful feeling. "With other VnExpress Marathon tournaments, the font design is quite common and neatly presented. For Da Nang, we want to create a difference, to fully express the vitality, youthfulness and dynamism of the city," the design team shared.

This year, in the tournaments of the VnExpress Marathon system, the Organizing Committee used microfiber fabric. This type of fabric has antibacterial properties, limits sweat odor, is thin, airy, and suitable for outdoor sports activities.

The organizers evaluated that after testing on many different materials, this is the fabric with the most advantages. The fabric is less wrinkled, less frayed, retains its softness, has a long life, does not lose shape, and does not fade over time when used properly.

In addition, the shirt uses heat transfer printing technology so it can print a variety of designs and patterns. The heat ink penetrates each fabric fiber, has high color fastness, clear images, does not fade when washed, and does not break when stretched. The product belongs to the Newton brand, distributed by Key Power Sports Viet Nam.

The remaining designs, including finisher shirts for the 21 and 42km distances, and medals will be announced by the Organizing Committee in the near future.

VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight is the third night race of the VnExpress Marathon system, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Da Nang is known as the city of bridges in Vietnam. Participating in the race, runners have the opportunity to conquer famous bridges such as Han River Bridge, Dragon Bridge, Tran Thi Ly Bridge, and admire the poetic Han River at night.
