VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight announces runner's t-shirt.

The VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight 2024 jersey features neon yellow and mint green tones, inspired by the vibrant life of the coastal city.

Three months ahead of the VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight 2024, the organizing committee has unveiled the first merchandise design: the race shirt. Runners registering for the Da Nang night race will wear one of two versions: a T-shirt or a singlet.

The design team stated that the shirt was inspired by the dynamic and youthful spirit of Da Nang, dubbed "the most livable city in Vietnam." After presenting numerous sketches and color options, the organizers chose neon yellow paired with mint green.

"The colors were chosen based on the criteria of standing out at night, while also mimicking the bright, golden sunlight that filters through every street corner during the summer. The mint green shade creates balance, bringing a cool feeling amidst the July summer weather," the design team shared.

The key details printed subtly on the shirt are inspired by the bokeh effect of streetlights at night. The unconventional "Da Nang Midnight" lettering, embossed on the front and subtly printed on the back, creates a dynamic and youthful feel. "For other VnExpress Marathon events, the font design is quite common and neatly presented. For Da Nang, we wanted to create something unconventional to fully capture the vitality, youthfulness, and dynamism of the city," the design team shared.

This year, in the VnExpress Marathon series, the organizers are using microfiber fabric. This type of fabric has antibacterial properties, reduces sweat odor, is thin and breathable, and is suitable for outdoor sports activities.

The organizers concluded that, after testing various materials, this fabric has the most advantages. It wrinkles less, frays less, retains its softness, has a long lifespan, maintains its shape, and does not fade over time when used correctly.

In addition, the shirt uses heat transfer printing technology, allowing for a wide variety of patterns and designs. The heat transfer ink penetrates each fabric fiber, resulting in high colorfastness, sharp images, and resistance to fading during washing and stretching. This product is from the Newton brand and is distributed by Key Power Sports Vietnam.

The remaining designs, including the finisher shirts for the 21km and 42km races, and the medals, will be announced by the organizers in the near future.

The VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight is the third night race in the VnExpress Marathon series, following Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Da Nang is known as the city of bridges in Vietnam. Runners participating in the race will have the opportunity to conquer famous bridges such as the Han River Bridge, Dragon Bridge, and Tran Thi Ly Bridge, and admire the romantic Han River at night.
