Since shining on the Oscars red carpet in 2018 in a body-hugging yellow dress, Eiza González has topped the list of Hollywood's best-shaped actresses. The 30-year-old beauty of the series Fast and Furious said that in order to have a healthy body suitable for action movies, she always exercises, eats healthy and takes care of her skin in the midst of a tiring filming schedule.
Eiza González is particularly fond of pilates, yoga and weight lifting, making it a routine fitness routine. The actress tries to combine regular exercise and impromptu physical activities such as surfing and hiking into her daily schedule.
“I like being active every day, you don't have to 'exercise' but keep moving. No need to be too strong, just enough for the body to circulate blood, not stagnate," she said.
The actress always makes sure to drink enough water every day. She said water has become an essential part of life. Busy schedules, long flights sometimes make the body dehydrated. Changes in weather in countries have a negative impact on health. Therefore, Eiza González always ensures the body is sufficiently hydrated every day.
With a constant travel schedule and long days on set, the actress frankly admits that training is not easy. She had to wake up two hours earlier than scheduled every morning, consistently for long periods of time in a disciplined manner. The beauty believes that discipline is the key to having a good workout and eating regimen that leads to a healthy body.
“I am a health lover who wants to compensate for the body. Daily beauty is like a way to say thank you to yourself. Exercising, getting the blood flowing to my feet is a way to say thank you to my legs for letting me walk," she shared.
For beautiful skin in her 30s, Eiza González always applies a suitable SPF sunscreen and cleanses her skin twice.
“I wake up, wash my face twice and moisturize my skin. I have to do it because of too much exposure to light, cosmetics. With all of that, if not taken care of properly, the skin is very vulnerable,” Eiza González shared in a 2019 interview with BAZAAR Australia.
According to the actress, protecting the skin in sunlight is also extremely important. She would "never leave the house without sunscreen". Although the job required a healthy tan, Eiza González never tanning or sunbathing.
Besides exercising and protecting the skin, the actress also adheres to a healthy diet to be healthy from the inside. She has been following a vegetarian, plant-based diet for the past few years. Eiza González also tries to quit the "chocolate addiction", reducing sugar in the daily menu.
“I am trying to live a more organic and responsible life, especially in my eating habits. I don't eat sugar, reduce my daily coffee intake. This is my favorite drink, but it's not good for the lymphatic system," she shared.
Eiza González always drinks hot or room temperature water, because it is good for the adrenal glands. She also manages anxiety and stress with camu camu, a Peruvian phytochemical-rich berry, often taken in powder form.
After completing her busy schedule, the actress takes time to read books and play with her pets. She tries to read at least one book every three to four days. Many previous studies have shown that reading books and having pets have a positive impact on mental health.
