Restaurant owner attacks customer: Phu My District People's Committee directs verification and strict handling

On the afternoon of May 27, Mr. Le Van Lich, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu My district (Binh Dinh province), said that he had assigned the My Trinh commune police to urgently verify and clarify the incident that occurred at the 5 Tan chicken rice restaurant (My Trinh commune) related to the restaurant owner attacking two diners.

Mr. Lich said that although the cause was a small conflict in communication, the owner's actions and service attitude were unacceptable. Such inappropriate behavior would affect the local image. The district assigned the My Trinh Commune Police to take action, handle the matter strictly, in accordance with regulations, and clarify the responsibilities of the parties involved.

According to initial information, the incident occurred at 8:00 p.m. on May 25 at the 5 Tan chicken rice restaurant owned by Mr. Chau Dinh T. (born in 1977). Two diners, Mr. D.XT (born in 1987, from Nam Dinh ) and Mr. HVV (born in 1985, from Thanh Hoa) were attacked by the restaurant owner after having an argument about price and service attitude.

According to police verification, after receiving their meals and requesting additional dishes but none were available, they complained about the price, leading to tension. The restaurant owner was then said to have used a plastic chair to attack Mr. D.XT, causing injuries to his left hand, Mr. HVV's leg to be scratched, and the restaurant owner's left leg to be injured.

The entire incident was filmed by the guest and posted on social media on May 27, attracting public attention.

Currently, My Trinh Commune Police are verifying and taking statements from all parties to clarify the developments and extent of the incident and handle it according to the law.
