Lai Thieu Flower Garden

Lai Thieu fruit orchards are known for their sprawling gardens laden with fruit, filling the air with their fragrant aroma. This attractive tourist destination is located in Thuan An city, Binh Duong province, about 10km south of Thu Dau Mot city and about 20km north of Ho Chi Minh City. In the last five years, as part of the new rural development program and to meet the local demand for Tet (Lunar New Year), the people of Lai Thieu have begun growing various types of flowers to sell during the Tet holiday.

We invite you to visit Lai Thieu to admire the various flowers, such as marigolds, chrysanthemums, cockscomb, impatiens, etc. Each type has its own distinctive colors and characteristics, creating a vibrant picture in the spring..., as seen in the photo series "Lai Thieu Flower Garden" by author Huynh My Thuan. Every year before the Lunar New Year, Lai Thieu flower garden becomes a colorful carpet of flowers. Lai Thieu flower garden is located in the Lai Thieu fruit orchard area (Thuan An town, Binh Duong province). For people in Southern Vietnam, apricot blossoms and marigolds symbolize good fortune, family happiness, and the longevity of grandparents and parents surrounded by their children and grandchildren. Therefore, these two flowers are indispensable in every Vietnamese family during Tet (Lunar New Year). Flowers are brought to markets for sale around the 22nd day of the Lunar New Year in Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City. The Lai Thieu flower garden has created a springtime scene and contributed to preserving the unique cultural traditions of the Lunar New Year in Thuan An, Binh Duong province.
