Lai Thieu Flower Garden

Lai Thieu fruit garden is known for its vast gardens laden with fruit trees, spreading a fragrant scent throughout the sky. This attractive tourist destination is located in Thuan An city, Binh Duong province, about 10km south of Thu Dau Mot city and about 20km north of Ho Chi Minh city. In the past five years, in order to develop new rural areas and serve the needs of the local Tet holiday; Lai Thieu people have begun to grow flowers to sell during the Lunar New Year.

We invite you to visit Lai Thieu to admire the flowers such as Marigold, Chrysanthemum, Rose, Rosemary... Each type has its own unique color and features, creating a brilliant picture in the spring..., through the photo series "Lai Thieu Flower Garden" by author Huynh My Thuan. The photo series was submitted by the author to the Photo and Video contest Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications . Every time before Lunar New Year, Lai Thieu flower garden is like a colorful flower carpet, Lai Thieu flower garden is located in Lai Thieu fruit garden area (Thuan An town, Binh Duong province). For people in Southern Vietnam, apricot blossoms and marigolds symbolize good fortune, family happiness, and the longevity of grandparents and parents surrounded by their children and grandchildren. Therefore, these two flowers are indispensable in every Vietnamese family during Tet (Lunar New Year). Flowers are brought to markets for sale around the 22nd day of the Lunar New Year in Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City. The Lai Thieu flower garden has created a springtime scene and contributed to preserving the unique cultural traditions of the Lunar New Year in Thuan An, Binh Duong province.
